Time and cost reporting

You can effortlessly generate reports on spent time and costs in scalenow AI, with options to filter, group, and save reports based on your specific requirements.

Note: To enable time tracking functionality, ensure the Time and Costs module is activated in the project settings.

Time and costs reports

To access the time and cost reports in scalenow AI, go to the Time and Costs module in the project navigation.

 

Filter Cost Reports

In scalenow AI , You can apply various filters to customise your view, such as work package, author, start date, or target version.

To include multiple projects, add a "Projects" filter. Depending on your access rights, you can also select multiple users. This allows you to tailor the time and cost entries to your specific needs based on the desired time frame, work, or users.

The filtered results will be displayed in the time and cost report below.

Grouping Criteria for Cost Reports

In scalenow AI,  one can an group time and cost reports by various criteria, such as dates, work packages, assignees, or any other field, including custom fields.

To add grouping criteria to the columns or rows of the report, use the drop-down menu on the right to select the desired field.

Once the grouping criteria are added, click the blue "Apply" button to update the report.

The report will be displayed according to the selected grouping criteria in the columns and rows. You can rearrange the order of these criteria by using drag-and-drop functionality.

 

Select Units to Display

In scalenow AI, you can choose time and cost reports, you can choose the units you want to display:

  • Labor: Displays the logged time for work packages based on the applied filters and grouping criteria. For example, filtering by assignee will provide an overview similar to a timesheet.

  • Cash Value: Shows the logged costs according to the selected filters and grouping criteria. This includes labor costs (calculated from logged time and hourly rates) as well as unit costs.

Adjust the unit display to suit your reporting needs.

 

Export time and cost reports

In scalenow AI ,

To export time and cost reports to Excel, follow these steps:

  1. Open or create a report in the Time and Costs module within your project.
  2. Apply the desired filters to the report based on your requirements.
  3. Choose the units to display, such as Labor or Cash Value.

Note: The "Group by" settings will not be included in the exported file.

  1. Click the gray Export XLS (Excel) button.

Once exported, you can continue working with the data in Excel to filter, group, or integrate it into other systems as needed.
